Vancouver, Washington is known for its picturesque scenery, quiet streets and cozy atmosphere. But this summer the city found itself at the center of incredible events that changed its residents’ understanding of time and space.
Chapter 1: Mysterious Find
In early June 2024, an archaeological expedition from a local university began excavations in the area of an old abandoned warehouse on the outskirts of Vancouver. Professor Jonathan Harris and his team were looking for artifacts from the time of the first settlers, but stumbled upon something much more mysterious. In the basement of the warehouse, they discovered a metal door with strange inscriptions in an unknown language.
The door was sealed and opening it proved difficult. After several days of work, the team finally opened the door and found a device inside that resembled a large metal circle with embedded crystals. On one of the walls there was an inscription in Old English: “The Path to the Knowledge of Time.”
Chapter 2: Opening the Portal
Professor Harris realized that they had found something exceptional. After studying the device in detail, he came to the conclusion that it could be a time portal. With the help of a team of scientists from different fields of expertise, he began experimenting with crystals and device settings.
On the night of June 20, the team activated the portal. A shining field of energy opened in front of them, and several volunteers, including the professor himself, walked through it. They ended up in Vancouver, but not the one they were used to. It was Vancouver from the future – an incredibly developed city, with buildings floating in the air and advanced technology.
Chapter 3: Traveling Through Time
Returning to their own time, the team realized that the portal was working and could send people to different time eras. They began planning expeditions into the past and future to explore human history and gain knowledge that could change the world.
Each new journey brought discoveries. On one of the expeditions they visited Vancouver during the Indian times and saw what these lands looked like before the arrival of Europeans. On another expedition, they traveled to the distant future, where they met descendants who told legends about the “discoverers of time.”
Chapter 4: Dangers of Time
However, not everything was so smooth. Time travel has proven to be dangerous. On one of the expeditions, the team encountered temporary anomalies – paradoxes that could destroy the present. In one of these anomalies, they accidentally changed the course of history, and when they returned, they discovered that the world had changed greatly.
The team had to go back in time again to correct their mistakes and restore the original course of history. They realized that interfering with the past could have disastrous consequences.
Chapter 5: Keepers of Time
Professor Harris and his team decided that the portal should be used with caution. They founded a secret society, “Keepers of Time,” whose purpose was to study and protect time flows. The society included scientists, historians and defenders who ensured that no one used the portal for personal gain.
They developed a code prohibiting interference in significant historical events and obliging all members of society to act only in the interests of science and humanity.
Epilogue
A few years passed and Vancouver was back to living its normal life. Only a few knew about the existence of the portal and the Guardians of Time. Professor Harris and his team continued their research, carefully guarding their secret.
Time passed, and the legend of the portal was passed down from mouth to mouth, becoming part of local folklore. No one knew for sure whether it was fact or fiction, but the city of Vancouver, Washington, forever remained a place where the past, present and future were united into one, protected by the Guardians of Time.
